When purchasing pre-owned luxury jewellery or watches, authenticity is one of the most important considerations. At Lily’s Jewels, every eligible pre-owned piece is carefully reviewed before being offered for sale. Our process considers the design, materials, hallmarks, craftsmanship, condition and supporting documentation where available, helping our clients purchase with greater confidence.
Each pre-owned luxury piece is carefully examined for signs that may indicate inconsistency with the expected design, materials, construction or finishing. Our assessment may include hallmarks, engravings, proportions, detailing and other relevant characteristics.
Where suitable information is available, we compare the item against known brand characteristics, model details, references and supporting documentation. For selected pieces, further specialist checks may also be recommended.
Where available, original packaging, certificates, receipts, service records or other accompanying documentation may be supplied with the piece. The availability of these items varies from product to product and will be stated where relevant.
Selected pre-owned pieces may be supplied with relevant supporting documentation or Lily’s Jewels authentication records, depending on the item and the nature of the assessment completed.
Authenticity is not treated as a single visual check. Each piece is considered individually, taking into account its brand, design, materials, craftsmanship, hallmarks, condition, serial or reference details where applicable, and any available supporting documentation.
For higher-value, complex or specialist pieces, additional review may be recommended before the item is offered for sale.
